LA TOUR (The Tower)
(Choose from: LE BORD DE LA RIVIERE, LA MAISON DU VILLAGE and LA TOUR)
This semi detached house and its Tower dominate the entrance to the village square, it is opposite the imposing church, and at the centre of rural village life. It can welcome up to 4 people, is very spacious, and has an interesting old fashioned layout to its rooms.
The Tower is the only remaining relic of the ancient fortification of Arfeuilles and was re-built in 1606. There is a massive spiral staircase, made from Volvic stone,
which leads up to the first floor. |
